Starbucks is a welcoming place for all, regardless of skin colour, faith or sexual orientation. They write your chosen name on the cups, no questions asked. What if it was that simple everywhere else? They took a stand in Brazil, converting one of their branches into a notary office to assist transgender people in legally changing their name.
This is also a great example of a brand walking the talk after striking a emotional chord with this film from 2019 and their Every Name’s a Story campaign.
Recently MasterCard also made a move in the same direction with True Name.
